Cheers to 2007

Since 1973, Cafe Flore has been a Castro landmark attracting gay, straight and other "flavors" of colorful people to this unique restaurant, cafe.  For the newbies, you order desserts inside and then find a seat indoors or outside on the beautiful patio or sidewalk for al fresco dining.  The kitchen is open from 7am to 10pm every day of the year ... just go to the kitchen counter (there are no waiters), place your order and get a number, and the food will be delivered to your table.

Well known as one of the best cruise spots in San Francisco, Cafe Flore is where you'll likely see gym bunnies from across the street, drag queens and leather folk parading by, and the most eclectic crowd at this busy intersection of Market, Noe and 16th streets.

Best Cafe - Best of the Bay 2004!

"Paris may be the café capital of the world, home of the original Café Flore, but for those readers who missed their Air France flight or who aren't really existentialists, our very own Cafe Flore is a pretty good substitute..."
